What It Is

A mechanical brow pencil with a unique triangular-shaped tip that combines the benefits of powder, pencil and wax in one product to create naturally defined brows. The triangular tip allows for fine, precise strokes as well as the ability to fill in the brows quickly and easily. The double-ended component also comes with a brush to blend and groom brows into place.

  • How To Use It

    Twist up slightly until the product reveals itself. Define your brow shape by using the pencil to outline your desired brow shape using the wider edge of the pencil. Fill in any sparse areas to even out your brow using small strokes. Use the brush on the other end to groom and blend brows in place.

Takes practice

I am a bit on the fence about this. The dark brunette is a perfect shade for me but I don't find it very easy to use. The tip of the pencil is quite broad and I find it hard to get natural looking strokes from it- more often than not it just ends up one big block of solid colour, which isn't the best look! Maybe I just need more practice with it. Once on it does last well without smudging but comes off easily at the end of the day. One big plus is the spoolie brush on the other end of the pencil- one side has very short, stiff bristles and the other is longer and more flexible bristles, which makes it easy to grab every hair and get a perfect shape. The brush is what redeems this for me and I will keep practicing with the pencil.

One of the best value brow pencils

I love this brow pencil so so much. It's incredible value and it lasts for quite a long amount of time. But using it as a light fill in experience for my brows it lasts quite well. You don't have to be very delicate with using it worry about it break by the way.

The Best!

I strayed from Hourglass because of the price but I’m back to this brow pencil because it really is the best I’ve ever used. I find it very easy to apply and it’s very natural looking. Its fine tip avoids heavy, solid brows. It has excellent staying power. The brow brush is very useful. The packaging is fairly standard but this does feel like a luxury product when using it. I would definitely recommend.

Perfect

Love love love Hourglass I have been using some of their products for several years and they really are good. I bought this in soft brunette the perfect soft brown for my dark brown slightly greying now eyebrows. Superb product it doesn’t feel flimsy but very substantial. Love it!

Good product but a splurge

The Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil is a solid product with a great formula. It’s easy to apply, blends well, and lasts all day without smudging. The angled tip makes shaping quick and precise, and the built-in spoolie is one of the better ones I’ve used. The finish looks natural, and it’s great for both bold and subtle brows. That said, the price is hard to justify for what it is. There are similar brow pencils out there for much less that perform just as well. I like it, but I’m not sure I’d keep buying it at this price. Maybe best to buy when Space NK run a promotion!

Soft brunette

Absolutely love Hourglass cosmetics, the quality is underrated, and the micro sculpting pencil is outstanding, the only pencil I have found which actually allows you to create delicate strokes, with the spoolie at the other end, it easily blends out for a softer look. I love ‘Soft Brunette’ shadow.
