Women's Clifton 9 Running Sneakers in Seafoam
Product Details
Web ID: 5312675Comfy but bulky
I wear my Hoka Clifton 10s on walks and on recovery runs. The shoe is very comfortable and feels very supportive. I enjoy my walks in these shoes. On runs the shoe feels bulky and a little heavy underfoot. The stock height feels quite tall.

Customer review from HOKA ONE ONE
I went on a hunt for my perfect running shoe.
So I had gone to get my feet analyzed and found out I'm a supinator that lands mainly on my heel. At 30 my feet were aching my heels are just cracked from years of cheap sandals and I was tired of it..! So I went thru TikTok, Chat GPT, Google and got the best shoes listed down and went all over town looking for each one. I wanted to like OnClouds but honestly they are more for looks not for actual heel pain or a moderate runner, then I went to Brooks and they have that weird V-shape ankle back like instead of the rounded back it's V shaped….they carve into the back of my ankle, they were perfect on cushion tho, then Ascis Nimbus was heaven sent too but the color range just too funky. Then I tried HOKA Clifton10 and I found my ideal match. I feel the instant relieve. Like I was once told you are always on your feet take care of them and I thought I was but I didn't know much and now years later I will prioritize my feet…why deal with achy feet?? I rather skip Starbucks coffee than ever skip taking care of my feet again.

Disappointed
I'll be avoiding the Clifton 10s. I'm on my 4th pair of HOKAs and liked the Clifton 9. This "new" Clifton isn't even in the same class. The re-treads have started peeling off the bottom after a few weeks of wear. They're not as comfortable. I'll give another line a try, but if they disappoint, I'll start shopping for another brand.

Sometimes, updates in cushioning and technology can change the feel of a familiar favorite. While we always hope it's for the better, if you find your feet missing the lower profile feel of our Clifton 9, the Skyflow could be the perfect next step. Take our shoe finder quiz: bit.ly/HOKAShoeFinder to confirm, and test it with confidence using our Fly-For-30 guarantee: bit.ly/HOKA30Day.
Poor quality
After just a four months of pretty light wear (I walk about 30 miles per week) the Clifton 10's bottoms are completely falling apart. I submitted a warranty claim and after 2 months was told this is normal and claim denied. My lulu Lemon and on cloud shoes are so much better.

Another Hoka Winner
Plenty of room in the toe box. Comfortable.

Makes feet pronate
This is supposed to be to a neutral shoe, but it actually makes my feet pronate, a lot. I've worn the shoes to the gym only for the last 2 months thinking the issue would resolve once I got used to the new shoes, but it's actually causing me knee pain. I am not the kind of person that tries to return something after I've used it, but these are supposed to be high quality and I was hoping they would stand behind their product. So I contacted HOKA and they deny there's any issue and have refused to help me. The warranty department declined help because I can't prove a material defect. How am I supposed to take a picture of the insole forcing pronation?? I will never purchase from this brand again.

I WOULD NOT BUY ANY OTHER
I've been walking 3 miles / day since July and they still feel like new! I had tried Brooks and an ON Cloud, yet they wore out soon. I bought a different Hoka style (Challenger 8) because I wanted a dark blue pair and had to return those! Nothing like a Clifton 10. I wish they had it in BLUE!

Why???
The Clifton 9s were perfect for running. The 10s are very different. They feel like bricks on my feet. My foot sloshes around. Toe box is too big. Why move to an 8mm drop? Please bring back the 9. Luckily I had a pair stashed away. I will also try the rincón. Tried the Mach but they gave me arch pain. Disclaimer: I have princess-and-the-pea feet. If you don't, maybe they will be ok for you.

We never mean to tear you away from a model that has worked so well for you. The updates to the Clifton 10 iteration were meant to be positive, but you are not out of luck. Feel free to send this pair back within the 30-day exchange window with our guarantee bit.ly/HOKA30Day. We hope you love the Rincon style as much as we do. It's upgraded foam provides better rebound while increasing longevity and works together with rubberized EVA to make each step feel softer than the last for all your miles ahead.
