Nonstop squeaking, multiple pairs

If your feet sweat at all do not buy this shoe. Once there is any moisture on the inside of the shoe, the shoes start squeaking. They're very comfortable and because of that I refunded and tried a 2nd pair and they squeak the exact same.

Not my last pair… I hope!

A couple of months ago, I picked up my third pair of Hokas after completely wearing out my Bondis and still squeezing the last miles out of my ankle-high Trailcode GTX. This time, I wanted something a bit more mainstream-looking—something I could wear daily without standing out too much. After reading review after review, I decided to try the Hoka Transport GTX. Overall, it's a great shoe. The style is decent—clean and versatile enough for everyday wear. Living in Iceland, good support, grip, and waterproofing aren't optional—they're essential. In those categories, the Transport GTX performs very well. The real test came during a quick trip to rainy Glasgow and the Scottish Highlands. The comfort level was outstanding. I walked mile after mile with ease and never once felt sore or fatigued. Unfortunately, the relentless Glasgow rain eventually got the better of them. My feet ended up damp—not soaked, but definitely not dry. I suspect the Gore-Tex itself held up fine, but the tongue design probably allowed water to seep in. A night on a warm radiator took care of the issue, and they were good to go again the next day. Back home, the Transports remain my daily shoes. I especially like the sole design—it offers excellent grip and stability on wet streets and gravel paths alike. Still, when these eventually wear out, I might return to the Bondi or another higher-cut Hoka model for a bit more weather protection. All in all, the Hoka Transport GTX is a comfortable, versatile, and well-built shoe that's just shy of perfect for truly wet climates.

Great shoes, but squeaky

The shoes feel great and so do my feet at the end of the night. I've walked through puddles in the rain, and the waterproofing is working well. However, the left shoe squeaks very loudly inside the toe area with each step. Not too noticeable in the loud factory, but very annoying anywhere else.

Lace Loop Snapped Under One Year

The shoe was great - until a lace loop snapped while putting the shoe on. HOKA denied my warranty claim even though it was well within their warranty window. Be advised.

We never want you to be left with a disappointing pair. While we don't have an estimated mileage for each pair, we want you to fly in your shoes for as long as possible, which is why we offer a one-year warranty. This warranty is designed to address any manufacturing defects that may affect performance. Unfortunately, we cannot override the final decision made by the warranty department. Bought for a London Theatre trip

Was looking for a pair of shoes that was comfortable for lots of walking but also something you could get away with at the theatre. I really feel these fit the bill. Nice enough in black to at least not draw negative attention, and the comfort is off the charts. Walked miles and miles in complete comfort. And waterproof as well. I was able to be in London for 2 weeks with just these for shoes. Success!

Nope! Hard Pass on buying the Transport again.

I really wanted to like these shoes. I own / have owned multiple pairs of HOKAs over the last several years. Have recommended them to friends and family, who have become fans. So, first, I ordered the same size shoes as all my other HOKA shoes. When my Transports arrived, the fit was extremely tight and uncomfortable, so I returned them for an exchange to the wide size of the same shoe. The Wide fit like the regular size of all my other HOKA shoes. Problems solved, I thought. I began to wear them regularly for everyday wear. It wasn't long before my Transports started to squeak on a regular basis while walking in them. Both inside and outdoors. Left side, right side, both sides. No rhyme or reason as to which shoe was going to squeak on any given day. Some days, if I was lucky, the squeaks would disappear, only to return another day. Tried powder, nothing helps to stop the squeak. It's maddening when it starts, especially if you're away from home, traveling, or well into a long walk. Then, the loop on the heal of my right shoe breaks while putting my shoes on one morning. The thin rope like loop broke right where it attached to the shoe on the outside. I have relegated my Transports to "yard work", "I don't care what happens to them", only occasional wear shoes because I can't bring myself to throw away a pair of shoes I paid that much money for. To say I am disappointed in them is an understatement. I love my other HOKAs, but it's a hard pass on purchasing another pair of Transports.

Surprisingly my favorite Hoka

These are much firmer than my 10+ other pairs of Hokas but they break in comfortably and have nice grip and water resistance compared to many of my other pairs.
