With Cuir Beluga, the Guerlain perfumer chose to interpret the softness of white suede in an absolutely luxurious and addictive version. Like an intense, warm light on the skin, the fragrance opens with an aldehyde mandarin accord drawn out into an everlasting flower note and then wrapped in a voluptuous cloud of amber, heliotrope and vanilla. An intense and totally unexpected sensorial experience.

The fragrance dresses up in a bottle with clean, contemporary lines, decorated with a golden metal label on the side, like a precious book. An elegant wooden cap adds the finishing touch to this beautiful piece. The bottle nestles in an amethyst "leather feel" case (which may be transformed into a jewelry box as you wish).

Guerlain perfumery

As someone who appreciates fine perfumery, I admire many of the fragrances in Guerlain’s collection. I cherish Guerlain in particular for the distinct way they have of crafting perfume which sets this house apart from so many others, without the heavy reliance in modern molecules we see now everywhere, and with firm roots in classic perfumery. I dearly hope Guerlain maintains this. Along with its glorious classics such as L’Heure Bleue and Shalimar, l’Art et la Matiere is full of masterpieces such as Bois d’Armenie, Cuir Beluga or Angelique Noire. Thanks for making these beautiful perfumes and keeping your tradition alive.

Gorgeous fragrance

Cuir Beluga is a beautiful fragrance, a warm and comforting cloud of powdery heliotrope and vanilla that gives the overall impression of the softest suede. It won’t announce itself loudly as you walk into a room but wafts gently as a personal scent and is more tenacious than you might expect. Presentation is lovely and delivery was very swift.
