Pretty shoe arrived damaged

I bought two sale Ferragamo's. This red shoe is one. It arrived damaged. So did the other. I'll review that on its own page. This is so common these days that I wasn't even surprised. The paper in the box was in bad shape and it looked like it had literally been ironed to try and make it look better. The left shoe had a damaged back strap. Issuing off the final hole were two cracks in the red leather deep and wide enough to reveal the white inner of the fabric. This type of damage can only happen through use. I believe these were returned by someone who wore them then cleaned them up. Is this what sale merchandise is now? Returns?
