Nice quality runs short

The quality is nice and the shirt looks beautiful. Unfortunately it runs short. If you look at the photo the shirt falls below the waistband of the shorts. Those shorts must be extremely high waisted. When I tried on the shirt with high waisted jeans the shirt fell to the belt line. There wasn’t enough fabric to tuck in. I’m 5ft 7in. and weight 135 lbs. My proportions are relatively average. I tried on a size medium. The shirt was wide enough just too short. I fear the next size would be too wide.
