Runs Big in Size

I am 5’2” tall and weigh 135 lbs and am 83 years old. I am toned so I look slim. I ordered the Emporio Armani stretch pants in off white in size 10, which, according to their measurements should have fit with the exception of the length. They were huge. Why are there no petite sizes? And, why is nothing being made in polyester crepe which hangs better on the body and doesn’t wrinkle. The heavy material in these pants would be hot on a summer day.
