Material and color look faded

I wanted to love this dress. I'd been eyeing it for several weeks. I loved the color and thought the plaid would be interesting. I finally bought it. It fit well and I liked the slits on the sides. It's shapeless but that's the style. However, what I didn't like was the material and the plaid pattern. It had no punch and looked faded. It wasn't a bright sangria color like EF's shirts. I had to return.
