DysonV8 Cordless Vacuum

Purchased the Dyson V8 origin few weeks ago to replace by Dyson DC45, happy with its performance. I was little disappointed that the thin nozzle attachment did not come with this model, there is a place to store the attachment. Why is this?

You can't beat a dyson

i love the V8,i like the design and i like that you can buy replacement parts when needed, it picks up the dust really well and is easy to empty.and it gets into all the tight spots with ease.

How does one open up the dustbag!!!!!

Well, not sure what to say really!! My daughter decided I should have a Dyson so that there are no wires for me to trip over as I am 84. Yes, great, the first time I used it was very good until.......I wanted to empty the bag, - a definite no no!! In no way could I open it up. My daughter came, and even she had an awful job, so now instead of me having a new hoover, my daughter has had to have mine and I am having hers!! I am not amused.

Poor performance

I bought this to replace a v6. I thought it would be better but the suction is worse and it has a really irritating intermittent squeaking noise. The motorised head isn’t as good at picking up dirt compared to the v6 but doesn’t get caught up with long hairs as much. Also, none of the v6 accessories fit as Dyson changed the connectors.

Great features

I bought this a few weeks ago and I’m very pleased with it. I’m very happy with the performance being able to hoover the whole house and still have plenty of battery left. It makes light work doing the stairs and the choice of atttachments. Would highly recommend.

It’s strong sucking but it’s blowing to my face and a bit big head can’t get through to any kerbside
