    Inspired by the Black Onyx from the Middle East, the fragrance honors the impenetrable black gemstone of powerful and ambivalent energy, reserved for the strong spirited. Taking its name from the ancient Levantine word "onekh," meaning "onyx", the Eau de Parfum draws its mysterious allure from Naram, the first Mesopotamian king and god of the Moon. While it opens with brighter notes of mandarin and geranium, Malaccensis oud from Laos sits at the heart of this fragrance with labdanum to enhance its smoky accents before revealing the more mysterious notes of black incense and caramel in the dry down.

Unique Scent - Not a Fan

I received this cologne with high hopes. I am particular in regards to scent: not too musky but not too sweet. The positive: the scent is unique. It kept me guessing as to what exactly was the main characteristic of the scent - sweet, musky, natural. The negative: the swirl of scent ultimately seemed bitter, after several uses. Again, I really wanted to like the scent and gave it a fair shake, it just wasn't for me.

Smells Great!

I have slowly been testing out some different colognes and I really like the Bulgari - Le Gemme Onekh Eau de Parfum. This cologne smells very nice and masculine. A little goes a long way and the scent lasts throughout the day.
