I Don't Love Hugo Boss. But I Love These!

Having soccer-player legs (muscular and dominant), I’ve always disliked men’s shoes with thick, elevated soles that make you feel like you’re walking on platforms. I prefer sneakers that sit low to the ground but still offer enough support so your foot isn’t pounding against concrete. I also have a wide forefoot and need shoes that don’t squeeze the front. Hugo Boss sneakers have traditionally nailed that balance. So when I saw they upgraded the materials in this model, I wanted to try them in-store first — and I instantly loved them. I’m not particularly drawn to the Beckham branding, and frankly, Hugo Boss hasn’t been high on my style list in recent years, partly due to declining quality and partly because I don’t like paying for marketing hype. But every now and then, they get it right — and this pair is one of those exceptions. I liked them so much, I bought two pairs.
