Elevates our spaghetti dinners
When my everyday dishes were beginning to look tired, I replaced them with the Bernardaud Origine pattern. (I mixed in a few pieces of the Origine Ondée and the Organza patterns for extra color and interest, and they coordinate perfectly.) One of my requirements when searching for a new everyday dishware pattern was matching pasta bowls. They are useful not only for generous servings of pasta, but also for Asian-inspired dishes and stir-fries. I have found the Bernardaud porcelain to be a pure milky white, where other brands of French porcelain tend to be slightly grayer. I have only used them for two weeks, but so far they wash up beautifully in the dishwasher and show no chips or gray marks from flatware.

Great bowl but smaller than the description
This is an elegant bowl for pasta, soup, or rice-based dishes. We will end up using this versatile dish almost as much as our dinner plates. I docked one star because this bowl is just over 9 inches across rather than the advertised 11.5 inches. I actually prefer the smaller size for everyday use, but I was surprised when I opened the box.
