Less Is So Much More!
The health-conscious among us, who may not have the time and/or money to layer various skin-care products, want sunscreen in our foundation, but apparently some of the best foundations can't include it and still provide the impressive benefits they offer. Though no makeup pro, here's how I advise handling the lack of sunscreen in Trish McEvoy's critically acclaimed "Even Skin" foundation, which is runny but won't run away and can be applied and then reapplied to increase coverage and intensity: After your balancing lotion and serum, preferably with vitamin C, use La Roche Posay's Anthelios 50 Mineral sunscreen, tinted or untinted, plus a moisturizer, and finally Trish's foundation, which earned the highest (five-star) rating from Beautypedia online. For summer in the subtropics, living under what meteorologists tell us is a "heat dome," I use "3" (hint of pink despite my yellow undertone) in "Even Skin", which, with my subtly tinted sunscreen, confers full-on seasonally appropriate color. The Duchess of Windsor opined that one can't be too rich or too thin. Trish proves her right with this special product. Can such makeup be both natural and transformative? Yes. We can all drink a chilled bottle of spring water to this!
