Makes cleanup a lot simpler and faster

The Stokke Nomi high chair with baby set is meant to be pulled up right to the table for use. We tried this method for a couple of months and found that our 7mo baby makes a huge mess at the table and food is often dropping into their lap seat and the foot rest, where it gets stepped on and makes another big mess. So we decided to make this rather expensive purchase for the Nomi tray in hopes that it will make less of a mess or at least contain it on the tray. After using the tray for a couple weeks, it has made clean up a lot easier because the food stays on this tray, and some of it will still drop through into baby’s lap and onto the ground or on the foot rest. However, the cleaning up of the tray is so simple you detach by easily sliding off from the highchair, and then we take it to the sink and rinse off or quickly scrub off with the sponge. Then the seat and the foot rest just need a quick wipe down. We still lay a big tablecloth underneath of the highchair to catch any random droppings so we don’t have to scrub the floors every time. But this tray has made a significant difference in the cleanup effort probably saving us about a half or 2/3 the time. We also put it in the dishwasher once and that was nice to be able to do a deep clean. When the tray is slid onto the high chair, however it does feel like if you put any slight weight on the tray, such as leaning your elbow on it, it does not feel super sturdy. The material is the same type of plastic material as the Nomi highchair itself, but the way the tray comes out of the highchair, makes it feel as though it cannot support any significant weight (the box says a max of 11 pounds).
