On the soft side. But I do like the flip feature where the gel side is up or the soft side is up.

Worst pillow
This is a very overpriced horrible pillow, I have had it 2 months and it's already garbage, it's flat and the plush side is so soft it gives me bad headaches and neck pain if I use it. This pillow is a waste of my money. I am a back/side sleeper don't waste your money on this pillow.
