Lux but quality is not the same
This sateen Giza 45 fitted sheet is a very nice sheet, I think the quality has significantly degraded compared to the Giza 45 sheets of the past. I’ve had the sheet less than 2 months and there is large amounts of pilling all over the sheet which isn’t something one should be experiencing much of from this type of cotton. It’s a clear indicator that it will not last very long. Otherwise it is an extremely elegant sheet with a very generous deep pocket design that can fit up to around ~16” mattresses.
Amazing!
I have two pair of these sheets and absolutely love them—they only get better with age and show no sign of wear! Well worth it.

Started Pilling Within 3 Months
Very soft, beautiful sheen, but not durable at all. Wash all my sheets on delicate always! Started pilling within 3 months and I rotate sets so they only get used one week every 6 weeks. Would not buy again. Not worth this high price. Also, I do not own a cat or a dog, no kids at home, nothing to damage them. And I saved, and waited for them to be on sale... disappointed.
Hmmmm
Ok, I am very particular about sheets. I dread buying new sheets because of the break-in process. I find sheets to be itchy for the first number of months, even expensive ones. I thought maybe if I bought the "creme de la creme" of sheets, I could avoid the break-in process. Sadly, not so with these sheets. I have washed them twice according to directions and I am still getting the itch. Not so bad that I have to change the sheets back to my old ones, but still there. Fingers crossed that the break-in process is shorter than normal for me, since these are wayyyy more expensive than my last set.
