Terrible Iron

I had a Rowenta before this one and I was very excited. However the iron doesn’t maintain temperature and there is hardly any steam if any. This iron is absolutely garbage for the price I paid

Spitting Black All Over My Clothes

Bought this iron 3 years ago and it initially worked great. Now, after 20 minutes of use, it starts spitting little globs of black stuff, in big wet spots, all over my clothes. Should not be doing this for the price I paid!

Hello SheLadyRed, Thank you for your review and for bringing this to our attention. We are terribly sorry to learn you are experiencing some difficulties with your iron. We would be happy to assist you with this matter. When this occurs, first, we recommend cleaning the calc collector. Ensure that your iron is completely cool. Empty the water tank over a sink. Then, lift the calc collector, and turn it to the left and remove it. Clean the calc collector with water and replace the collector. Secondly, clean the anti calc valve. Ensure the water tank is empty. Set the thermostat knob on MAX position and the steam lever to no steam. Remove the anti calc valve. Soak the anti calc valve in a cup of plain lemon juice or a cup of white vinegar for 4 hours. Do not touch the end of the valve. After the time has elapsed, rinse the anti calc valve under running water. Then, place the anti calc valve back into the iron. This should help resolve this issue. However, if you would like further assistance, please contact our Rowenta Customer Service Team directly through our website at rowentausa.com/contact or by phone at 1-800-769-3682. We sincerely apologize for your experience, and we hope this helps!

Died right on time.

I purchased this iron July 2019, hoped it might last three or four yrs. But 16 months from purchase, and out of warranty, it needs service. Keep up the good work. ,

Nice iron but...

This is a great little iron. Light with ready for my 100 lb wife to push around. Does a fabulous job on my shirts but the water tank cap leaks and keeps popping off. I think the rubber seal inside is too big. Too bad cause I'd love to use it more but I can't keep dealing with the leaking and the cap popping off.

Excellent iron!

I've had this iron for years. Heats up beautifully, steam is perfect with no leaks, and easy to refill with water (I use one of those small paper cups), and regular tap water works fine thanks to the washable anti-calcium rod. The retractable cord is a great feature so right when you're done ironing, unplug the cord, press the button to reel in the cord into the base, and set the still hot iron in the corner of the bathtub (we have a tile backsplash so the dissipating heat will do no harm.

Sharp pointed nose

I purchased this iron last fall but was unable to use it until June. The sharp nose is great for my quilting, However, it does not get hot enough for some quilting projects. It only holds about two thimbles of water so steam is very limited. Cant' be refilled without unplugging which means I have to move two pieces of furniture in my tiny home if I want steam.

Iron with comfort

My husband does the ironing and he simply adores this iron. It NEVER burns anything. It adjusts to EVERY material. Hint: While ironing, don't leave it exposed to the air for too long because it naturally adjusts to temperature and so will cool off. Of course, it will once again adjust to the material but one may think that it is not working properly.
