Didn't work for me

I bought this from Macy's after reading various reviews. I found that the cutter is not very effective at cutting the shell on extra large Key West shrimp bought from a local grocery store. It worked on about one in every four shrimp. I was glad to have a different shrimp tool to process the other shrimp. Usually I'm pleased with Oxo products, but not this one.

Fun to Use

Always wanted to shuck my own oysters but was put off by tales of how likely it is to cut your hands in the process. Armed with this knife and a YouTube video from America's Test Kitchen showing how to protect your hand with a kitchen towel while shucking, I have now become a bit of an oyster pro with no injuries! Try it and impress your guests!
