Fabric and cut of this dress are odd

I ordered this dress while searching for classic, neutral dress to wear to a funeral. I thought the online image looked a little off but I assumed it was because the model is very thin. Unfortunately, that’s not the case. The dress looks and feels like a plastic bag…the fabric is noisy and has a plastic-like feel and the midsection is very bunched with no drape. Seemed more like a discount store item to me. I returned it.
