Very cute but lid is dysfunctional

I purchased this amid beautiful pictures, however they arrived today and unfortunately the lid is dysfunctional. There is a designated hole on the lid for inserting a straw. However for when I want to carry the drink or put it back in my bag after a picnic, any leftover - even last remaining droplets will spill, as there is no way to completely close the lid. Unfortunately will be returning. It would be okay if you only used at home without carrying around.
