I just received the instant pot ultra. I made baby back ribs, and they were amazing. I believe they might have cooked faster than the other instant pot I had. Bloomingdales had the best price anywhere, and I received it very quickly. So excited To discover Bloomingdales again.

I purchased this as an upgrade to replace a rice cooker (which stopped working properly). I used the rice cooker for rice, quinoa and hard boiling eggs. I figured I might was well be able to do that a lot more, hence the Instant Pot! So far I have made 3 things, all highly successful (meaning, delicious and perfectly cooked)- lemon chicken thighs, carrot and fennel soup, chicken stock from roasted chicken carcass. I have not yet done hard boiled eggs (in part because there are no instructions on how to use the egg feature, and from what I have read, it is for extra large eggs, which I don't buy!). I have given it a 4 vs 5 for two things, both related to the extra features and lack of clear instructions in the user materials sent with the pot. I would expect that there be instructions on how to use egg mode, rice mode, which are shown as "automatic" but give little other guidance. I started making rice using the rice mode, and halfway through (while reading on line about how to cook rice), I discovered that the rice mode only worked for quick cooking rice- which I never use! I was able to salvage the rice, but I had to do my own research to find how how to cook rice in "manual" mode. Same for eggs. Having never used a pressure cooker before, I could not have guessed at the right approach, so a little more guidance in the printed materials would have been good. I just ordered a steamer "tray" (it comes only with a trivet), so I can try a fish recipe that my son and his wife swear by!

Speechless! Ordered this item from online and picked up from store. How they gave me a used/opened/returned item as NEW?! Found out at home this and very upset! Do not want to waste my time to return at the store either drop this box at the UPS store!! It is really annoying!!!!!

We upgraded from a 6 quart off brand pressure cooker to this. We are a family of six, so we very much needed the bigger size. It is incredibly easy to use!
