Beautiful pants but tiny waist

These are lovely pants and true to size everywhere except the waist, which is tiny. The fabric is beautiful and drapes very nicely, with perfect fit through the hips and perfect length. But the waist seems to have been cut for at least two sizes smaller. Impossible to zip all the way up. Very disappointed to have to return because the pants are otherwise beautiful and stylish.
