Brilliant in theory

For a 50+ yo, this is my first foray into button-up shirts. I admit I have always been intimidated by them. Love the look…on others, but always felt frumpy, especially since the vertical line of buttons does my wide shoulders and back no favors. I love the idea of this too as a cheat to accomplish the layered look without all the fuss of having the perfect fit and weight sweater to avoid that overstuffed lumpy look. I am 5’4”. I generally don’t wear petite sizes, but this top is just too long on me. Since the intended look is for the bottom to show, it just is too long. I see Foxcroft makes a petite, but Bloomingdale’s doesn’t carry it. I will buy it elsewhere. One more thing, I would say it is TTS leaning toward smallish in the chest, but again, I have the aforementioned wide shoulders.
