When I inserted Filter holder with the tightly closed Espresso capsule inside basket into the spot on the left, I couldn't even turn it to the center to fix and start brewing. I tried several times. Besides that, in the manual, the part numbers on the picture are completely different than the part numbers on the description of that part. I didn't try machine with the real ground coffee because didn't have it at that time.

This machine is very easy to use. There are two wands. The first wand is for espresso pods. The second wand can be used with the included removable single shot cup, or a double shot cup for brewing ground espresso beans. It is also capable of brewing from espresso sachets (which I have not tried yet). The transparent water tank located on the back of machine is easy to fill, easy to see the water level, and easy to remove and clean. Once the machine is turned on, it only takes about 30 seconds to warm up before being ready to use. The usage buttons on the top of the machine will flash and then remain steady once ready to use. The milk frothing wand works well and produces a warm thick rich foam. As a one to one comparison: I bought my favorite espresso beans from a cafe where I usually order the same brewed espresso. They ground it for me according to the consistency required for my at-home machine. When I brewed it at home, the result was very similar but not quite the same. Although good and with a nice creamy consistency, it was not quite as robust or delicate/nuanced in flavor as the flavor profile produced by the cafe’s machine. But those professional machines cost thousands of dollars and are fine-tuned to extract the best elements out of every brew. So the flatness of my home brew in comparison was as to be expected. However, this is an excellent, user friendly machine for home use. I use it regularly without any hiccups. The design is compact, slender, and has a retro streamlined aesthetic which I like. For the price and ease of use: Recommended!

Nurses favorite espresso machine
Excellent easy espresso. I received this machine as a gift from a dear friend. I brought it to my place of work as it's filled with nurses who are addicted to coffee. We all love it especially the pod option. We're busy and don't always have time to pack down the beans but we can pop an espresso pod in and VOILA! Delicious espresso shots for exceptionally picky coffee drinking nurses with no time to dilly dally with a complex espresso machine. We all highly recommend this machine. Esme R

very disappointed
Aparently mine is defective or something, because it doesn't work as expected. It takes a lot time, over one min to heat and be able to brew the coffee and when it does it 2 cup selection only pours less than 1 oz of coffee. I don't recommend this product.

Great features in a compact design. Great Value
This classic style espresso machine with its portafilter and easy-to-read pressure gauge packs a lot into a small footprint (less than 5” wide!) No matter what I’m preparing, I get a perfectly extracted espresso – and the steam wand is ideal for my daily Americano’s and my occasional latte or cappuccino. So easy to customize and use– choose one or two cups for brewing, and the machine even has 3 temp settings so I can set my preferred brew temperature. This machine is well-loved in my house – a great value for a machine that performs perfectly – time and time again.
