Dr Laszlo’s Cleanse Oil is the first step of an EL devotee (were devotees decades after starting use of EL BECAUSE THE PRODUCTS ARE EFFECTIVE!). Pump a couple of drops of the appropriate cleanse oil (this item or the “black-colored” detox) onto CLEAN FINGERS & apply to face, neck, & décolleté. Follow with the cleanse bar that’s appropriate for your skin’s needs, based on skin & environmental factors- o keep FULL SIZE of this item nearby atop bath counter. Also keep mini version of black-colored detox cleanse oil to use when necessary. My skin has always been “normal” oil-wise. When I became a Lassiter in 1/1978, we were instructed to splash 30 times while rinsing bar soap from face. While no longer recommended, I still splash 30-times with clean tap water: after every 10 splashes that begin with comfortably warm tap water, after every 5 or 10 splashes, I reduce water temp to end on cold water. It’s a relaxing process- I’m not a scientist, but my skin feels “ready” for toner & subsequent steps before bedtime - prepares for sleep @ day’s end -OR- prepares skin for the day. Suggest RESUMPTION OF Dermatologist Erno Laszlo’s original advice & recommendations. He had a reason for that rinsing procedure & I’ve never deviated from it Odin e 1/1978. Friends who are, frankly, too lazy to use the cleanse oil + bar soap, & instead opt for the simple VTM cream-2-foam cleanse wonder why their “results” don’t match mine..
