Experts say that memories are deeply tied to scent, and my favorite fragrances have that effect. Kimono Tsuya speaks to my childhood, the greenhouse where my grandfather grafted roses and hydrangeas, and the warm Sunday afternoons I spent hiding in self-constructed lean-to forts nearby. If you can�t tell, Kimono Tsuya from Decort� has sent me careening back to some of my very best childhood days. First Impression: Kimono Tsuyu opens with a tart green whiff of yuzu and quickly mellows into a subtle, earthy musk. I don�t detect the sweetness of the amber base note, nor would I want to in a fresh floral of this nature. There�s a tiny hint of cedar warming it up, but there�s nothing woodsy to worry about here. Much like Decort�s other EDTs, this floral musk is subtle and delicate. If you equate the rosy-mauve ribbon and packaging with sweetness, you�ll be disappointed. Where I�d Wear It: This is soft without being powdery and fresh without any sharpness, so it makes a perfect daytime fragrance for spring and summer. Packaging: Decort�s squat-round bottles look both whimsical and feminine. The fabric bow provides a little added grip, so the bottle won�t slip when you�re holding it. It features another perfect atomizer, so there�s no concern of over-application.Closing Thoughts: If you want your scent to whisper or be a welcome surprise when someone leans in close, Kimono Tsuya is a good choice. Decort� KIMONO TSUYA eau de toilette
Decort� Kimono Tsuya has floral, musky and woodsy notes. The musky notes do not overpower the other notes, which can be difficult to achieve in a lot of fragrances. This combination of notes remind me of all the South Asian weddings I attended. Roses and incense with a woodsy fragrance are usually a part of the ceremony.
