Chateau dAx Corsica Sofa
The sofa is beautiful, well made and comfortable. It was a little long for my apartment hallway but the Bloomingdale's delivery team came to measure beforehand at the request of my salesperson and they figured out how to make it happen. This was a thoroughly professional team and great experience.

Not great quality
Chateau Dax Corsica Sofa grey color
I had bought this item (not the sectional,) and the pros, I like that the item is sturdy, well made, and overall very nice looking and definitely a good quality leather, however the seats need more padding, and the depth of the sofa is too narrow for comfort and for the style, it needs to have additional 2-4 more inches. The lack of the padding makes this sofa very uncomfortable if and when I accidentally fall asleep on it. In the past the sofas I had owned happen to be made in the USA, and comfort when sitting or falling asleep was never an issue, and the depth was always perfect. As it stands to make matters worse, nowadays, most furniture is being made in China, and from my experience it doesn't matter what the item is, it is uncomfortable, cheap looking and flimsy. Since before I had finally bought this set, I had a couple sofa sets made in China delivered to me, and on was just uncomfortable and ugly looking from the get go, that I had to return it ASAP, and the second one did not even last, it was already flimsy and looking like it was about to fall apart the day of the delivery, therefore returned. Therefore needless to say, I was planning to add the loveseat to this set since I already own the sofa, chair and ottoman, however the plan to expand the set is scrapped due to the two deal breaking issues I had mentioned, the lack of padding and the narrow depth. Nevertheless since it was too late for me to return the item, I am keeping it until it is time for me to get another set, and needless to say I am already stopping for either made in the USA brand or don't mind trying made in Italy, but hopefully I'd get to check out the item before I buy it next time.
Response from Bloomingdale's
Thank you for taking the time to write such a descriptive review. We reached out directly to Chateau D'ax to confirm where the Corsica Sofa was made, and they verified it is made in Italy, not China.
Acccording to the sales associate, what’s said on the frame of the sofa and the website, Chateau d’Ax furntiure is made in Milan, Italy - not China. However, the way you spelled the furniture manufacturer suggests that either it’s a misspelling or that the company you’re speaking of is made in China (a knockoff brand of Chateaux d’Ax). Can you please clarify?
The description given for the place of manufacture is not China but Italy.
Can you be more specific please, about this not being great quality? This is the only comment that says this, and I’m interested in ordering on.
