City Defence
I have just purchased my second bottle of this anti pollution essence, so that surely proves my enthusiasm! I was initially recommended this one by a member of staff, having tried another with little result. I was getting repeated outbreaks of eczema and occasional rashes on my face, aggravated by all the building work around me. All I can say is that the inflammation has quietened completely. I like the texture. I was advised to use it under my spf, which I do, and makeup stays put, with skin protected.

Really nice feel
I purchased the Chantecaille Anti pollution Mattifying cream and liked it but then when I was in the Marlborough store they gave me a sample of the anti pollution essence. Originally I was concerned that this might be too dewy on my skin but actually I prefer the essence to the cream. It gives a lovely base for make up to be applied on and I use it after my SPF. Overall I would recommend.

Great for the city
This is a great product for those who live in cities with a lot of pollution, such as myself. I use it after applying my skin care and before SPF and makeup primer. It is non-fragranced, lightweight and quickly absorbed into the skin with no tackiness. No irritation on my reactive skin. Skin feels soft and hydrated after use, and layers well under makeup. My skin looks healthier and less tired after using this product for a couple of weeks, so the product does have a positive effect on mitigating the effects of pollutants over time. Keep in mind I do live in Asia at the moment where pollution/smog is an issue. If you live somewhere with clean air and not a lot of environmental stressors please save your money and buy a good serum instead!

Not sure
I had bought this product at one of the boutiques before lockdown of course. It was recommended by one of the staff. I didn’t use it straight away but had opened it last year. I’m afraid I don’t feel like my skin has improved or anything so I’m a little let down as it wasn’t cheap.

Great for the oily
My first impression was very average on me. It’s not moisturising enough for me. However, after learning about the product, I understood how to use this product: on the oily skin! It works amazingly! I use it on all my clients with oily skin. Amazing results on them, as the rose de mai oil or biolifting serum is too much for them. great for young skin!

Beautiful Texture Serum
I used this up after receiving a sample. I was amazed at how light this essence is and I noticed an improvement in the texture of my skin. My skin was more hydrated and glows looking and when I took my makeup off at the end of the day it wasn’t as red and angry as it has been. As I live in London I really feel the pollution affects my skin in a negative way. I’m glad I’ve found this serum to protect it, even though it’s quite pricey,,,

Big price small results
I’m not totally sold on these anti pollution, blue light protection and such like essences and serums. The product itself is lovely, as with all Chantecaille products. There’s no smell and the product is light and easy to apply. However, there’s nothing that I can physically see results wise and for the price I really feel there needs to be.
