Best gift

My husband is a heavy coffee drinker and was a daily customer at Starbucks, until I gifted him the Breville Barista Express Impress espresso machine for Christmas. He has told me on several occasions that this was the most thoughtful gift he has ever received. Every morning, while he is making himself his latte with the Breville express impress, he is reminded of that very thoughtfulness. Sure, the one time payment upfront of $800 is daunting, but this machine has saved my husband from spending at Starbucks. He also thinks the espresso tastes better at home than from Starbucks. This machine has already paid for itself! I don’t see us going back to coffee shops anytime soon, if ever.

Upgraded. Excellent

We upgraded from our previous Breville machine. We love the automatic tamper as it really helps keep the area clean from coffee grinds. It hasn’t changed the coffee flavour and we all love it.

Best!

Can be operated both automatically and manually which is a definite plus. The only challenge you’ll have is finding the coffee that you want to grind. Don’t hesitate, you’ll love it!

OKAY BUT ENDED UP RETURNING

good looking, high quality feel, the coffee just couldn't come out right in taste for me, lots of effort required, and still never could get there. bland taste. Wish I knew: Any larger than normal coffee mug won't fit under, annoying to use 2 glasses. Hot water dispenser splashes everywhere if used right after the steam wand. Decent, but not worth the effort.

Breville Barista Express Impress Overall Opinion

I have had this machine for several weeks now and I am so impressed! Makes a great cappuccino with ease, taste is comparable to a great coffee shop and it it looks good with a relatively small footprint compared to other machines. I love it so far. Has a good price point as well as I have owned several Gaggia and Delonghi machines.
