D5 frying pan 8 inch is everything you said

Fantastic fry pan. I’ve always fried my eggs in a nonstick frying pan until today. I put a small coating of oil on the pan, heated on low-medium heat, cracked 2 large eggs into the pan and perfectly fried them with PATIENCE cooked them perfectly. Nothing stuck to the pan. Wait for the pan to cool. Easily clean up with soap, water and a sponge. Following your instructions works!

Worth the investment

Due to a previous experience with another brand of stainless steel pots and pans, I was hesitant to invest and concerned about issues of sticking and staining. All Clad was worth it and I've had no problems. The brushed finish is so beautiful and I'm glad to support Made In America.

Nice, but worth it?

Bought this pan because I couldn't buy just a single 8" Calphalon Signature to match what I already own, and just "needed" another 8". Very similar with the All-Clad weighing 775 grams and the Calphalon at 672 but I think that difference maybe the All-Clad handle. The Calphalon handle is attached with 3 rivets while the All-Clad has 2, not that it likely matters on an 8" fry pan. Both have lifetime guarantee, both 5 ply and both very well made. Both heated 100 ml of water to a boil on my induction cooktop within seconds of each other. Is the All-Clad logo worth it? I'm not sure.

Buy it once, it'll last you a lifetime.

I absolutely love All-Clad D5 stainless-steel cookware and added this versatile skillet to my collection as it's the most popular size/shape. You cannot go wrong with All-Clad D5 stainless-steel because it performs so well. It's lightweight, has a comfortable handle, is naturally non-stick, can go from stovetop to oven, and is dishwasher safe. I have other All-Clad stainless-steel cookware that is at least 25 years old, and it looks just as nice as this brand new one. I would much rather spend the money and buy something of this quality, knowing that it'll last a lifetime, than to buy a less expensive one knowing it'll need to be replaced eventually. If you're trying to decide whether to buy this, go ahead and take the plunge! You'll be glad you did!
