Hard to clean
It's very hard to clean it! It made perfect waffles but behind the tray the slot is hard to clean.

Best waffle iron ever!
I bought this a couple months ago and so glad I did. It’s the perfect size for 2. The waffle part is nice and deep and it has a removable excess batter catcher which easily fits into the back of the iron and easily removes for easy cleaning. The iron itself is easy to wipe down and clean. Then stores easily.

When only a great waffle will do!
After tons of review to figure out what waffle maker I wanted to replace a dead one, I splurged and went for the All Clad--hoping it will supply a lifetime of deliciousness. I'm new into using it, but so far couldn't be happier. Delicious, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside waffles are the perfect outcome in my household.

Doesn’t brown like the older model I had.
I had a a 2014 model of this waffle iron. It browned the waffles fabulous. I purchased a new one in October, 2022 and even on the highest setting of 7 it doesn’t brown. Not sure if it’s defective or normal for this waffle maker.

Weekly use, perfect waffles
I make a double batch of NYT sourdough waffles 2x/week. It’s a crazy amount of waffles, but with 5 adults & teens in the house they last about half a week. I always avoided making waffles because it was a pain cleaning the ridges and they cooked uneven. The All-Clad was a game changer for me - I have the round waffle maker too - I hadn’t realized what a difference the machine could make! I alternate between the Belgian, which fit in the toaster, and the round, which make great sandwiches because they are thinner. I really hope they don’t stay working anytime soon, as done of the reviews mention, because it will be a very sad day in my kitchen.
