Good Quality and Attractive

This is my second Simple Human trash can. My folirst was the half-round that I bought 7 yrs ago. It still operated smoothly. Unfortunately, my toddler grandson used the top as a drum, so it had some dents. A kitchen refresh called for a new one, so I bought the stainless steel rectangle shape. Very happy with the foot pedal and sliw-close lid.

I miss my old trash can

Our old SimpleHuman trash can that we had for about 20 years was terrific until the foot pedal final broke. It was such a good product that I didn’t even look at other brands once we had to purchase a new one. This new model, which is the same size as our old one but taller, with a narrower base, and a large bump on the backside to hold Simple Human branded bags, is unstable and tends to lean outwards after a few uses, thus requiring me to pull it out from the wall and reposition with the narrow base and bulky bag holder up high, it seems top heavy Our old one was squat, with a wider base, and never moved around on the floor. It stayed in place. This one appears to have been redesigned to allow for the branded bag holder, a feature I will never use and which feels like a money grab. (I will continue to buy garbage from the grocery store as I have always done). This ba holder projects out the backside of the can up at the top, and results in a space behind the can at the bottom half. This space is what allows the base of the can slide in towards the wall over time as I push the pedal to lift the top. Good news is the construction still feels like the same quality as our old can which lasted 20 years, so that’s a good thing. It’s a solid product with one nagging flaw.

Great Industrial/stylish rubish can

I purchased this to replace the half round sensor can from Simple human. I didn’t care for the sensor as it was inconsistent with what I use it for. I prefer this style of rubbish can WAY better!
