  • How To Use It

    Line as desired. To soften or smudge your line, blend quickly before it sets. Close cap tightly after each use.

    Pro Tip: For a more intense look, apply a thick line along upper lashline. Smudge up and out before it sets using fingers, smudge tip or a flat eyeshadow brush.

    To sharpen: Because of the gel formula, it's important to use a clean pencil sharpener with a sharp blade. Gently twist the pencil through the sharpener to create a defined point. After use, clean sharpener with a cotton swab to remove all excess product so it is ready for the next time.

MAC Quality Slipping? Defective Magenta Lip Liner

I’ve been using MAC’s Magenta lip liner for years - it has always been my go-to shade and a staple in my makeup routine. Unfortunately, these last two I purchased have been extremely disappointing. The formula seems different; the pencils crumble and become grainy when sharpened, forcing me to waste half the product just trying to get a clean tip. They no longer glide on smoothly like they used to, making them nearly unusable. I’m really upset because this has always been my favorite, but now I’ll need to start looking for an alternative. Very disappointed in the quality this time around.
