Meh at best

This fragrance is not what I expected after having tried many other Penhaligon's scents like Blenheim Bouquet and Quercus, to name a few. The only good thing I can say is that it's not a foul smell but that doesn't matter because it does not last long at all, regardless of whether you spray your skin or clothes. I advise against this particular scent from Penhaligon's.

Overpriced bilge water.

Not at all impressive. Smell very much like your run-of-the mill "Fougère" you can pick up at your local drug store.

Long-lasting Cologne

Penhaligons Sartorial Eau de Toilette is a long-lasting cologne that STAYS on well. I like a cologne that is both powerful and lasting; Sartorial fits the bill for both! I also like to smell the cologne on myself; again, Sartorial is accommodating. I would suggest a sample of the cologne (trial) to see how it performs as body chemistry does make a difference. However, I do strongly recommend this product.
