Q: What do you love most about Europe in the summer?
The light and the energy. In Italy, you can live eight months out of the year with great light, and everything feels so bright and exciting. European culture is all about togetherness, being close-knit, and warm—you’ll always live an energetic life here.

Q: What are your top packing tips?
Travel light! Try to be really cautious about what you pack when traveling. If you travel light, you can enjoy the journey so much better, so edit!

Q: Does that mean you prefer a carry-on to a checked bag?
Yes! I moved to the south of Italy, and when I have free time I fly directly to the countryside with just a carry-on bag and handbag. I try to keep things very easy.

Q: Favorite European summer vacation spot?
I love the Mediterranean. I just love to be near the sea.

Q: Everyday summer look?
Because I swim every day, it’s my bathing suit! Having my bathing suit is very important to me because I swim year-round. In the summertime, that means hanging out by my swimming pool in the Italian countryside.

Q: First word that pops into your head when you think about Bloomingdale’s?
Energetic.

Q: Do you prefer totally spontaneous days or hour-by-hour plans on vacation?
Spontaneous. It’s European to just live in the moment.
