Is it really Melamine? or is it Italy in rectangle form with love baked in?

This platter was an impulse buy. seriously, is any buy NOT an impulse buy? It's melamine, which is old school cool. At least, that's what the blurb said. I opened the box and took out the BEST PLATTER EVER. It's so sturdy and lovely, I had to tap it with my fingernail a couple of times to prove it was not ceramic. The edges are uneven (it's a good thing) making it even more handmade and loved looking. It's from Italy, sunkissed land of hugs. I cannot wait to make a batch of something to put on the platter and bring to friends. Thank you, Vietri. It's perfect. Just like my fish plates from you. xo

New Holiday Tradition

I bought the dinner and salad plates for my niece who hosts Thanksgiving. There are 8 children in our extended families so now they will have festive ( unbreakable) plates to use at dinner as we head into the holiday season! My niece and her husband love the plates and the idea behind them!
