Handmade in Venice by passionate artisans—and inspired by traditional gondolier slippers—these velvet Mary Janes, known as furlanes, are crafted of the best Italian materials using skills passed down from generation to generation. The furlana is the quintessential Venetian slipper: the name dates back to the XIX century, when a few ingenious ladies from Friuli began producing footwear with left-over fabrics and old bicycle tires. Today, the tradition thrives with luxurious fabrications and construction that feels as good as it looks.

Super cute and TTS but not supportive at all. I only wear when I know I’m not going to be walking a lot.

Cute and comfortable but runs small

These shoes are quite comfortable once you determine the correct size. I had go two sizes up to get the right fit. They held up well for a full day of city walking. Own in two colors now!

Comfy, cute, well made

Underwhelming

The shoes are pretty flimsy and more akin to slippers. Definitely small relative to other European brands. Bloomingdale’s sent them in a soft envelope instead of a box, so they were creased upon arrival.

Cute shoes if you actually get your order

My order never arrived. I have 2 other pairs of these shoes plus a pair I bought in a shop in Venice recently and they’re great. The soles are made of tire rubber and are nice and comfortable. Hopefully the green shoes arrive but after more than 2 weeks, I’m losing hope. The communication has been terrible.
