Too Large for Standard Microwave . . . .

The large plate and cover is too large for the standard, built-in microwave over your stove/range top, so it will be UN-useable. AND it WILL take up too much space in my kitchen cabinets, so I will be returning it. Not worth keeping just to use the smaller pieces.

Useful to have when microwave cooking.

I bought these for my husband mainly. He loves to heat up leftovers for lunch, and sometimes a paper towel on top is just not the ticket. He's very happy with them.
