Excellent fragrance, out of touch price.

Tom Ford Oud Wood Parfum is, to my nose, exactly what many people wanted from the original Oud Wood: denser, longer lasting, and a bit more substantial on skin. The familiar DNA is still there: smooth woods, soft spice, clean oud, and that polished Tom Ford ambered elegance. The Parfum does not reinvent the fragrance so much as it thickens the lines. Everything feels darker, richer, and more rounded. The woods have more weight, the amber feels warmer, and the whole composition sits closer to the skin in a more concentrated, resinous way. That said, I do not think it fully justifies the asking price. It is absolutely a better performer than the original on me, and I can see why someone who loves Oud Wood but wants more depth would prefer this version. But it also feels less like a new fragrance and more like the version many people wished the EDP already was. So yes, Oud Wood Parfum is excellent. It smells expensive, elegant, and beautifully composed. But value-wise, it is hard to ignore that you are paying a hefty premium for more density and longevity rather than a dramatically different experience. Beautiful fragrance. Questionable value proposition.
