Much too long

I am 5’7, 135lbs. Size 6 fit me perfectly. It is a beautiful dress however much too long. It was literally 10 inches too long even with a 3 “ heel. If I had it altered the beautiful ruffled lace on the bottom would have had to be cut off. Sadly I had to return the dress because the alterations would have cost too much and ruined the beauty of this dress.
