Great heavy duty carpet vacuum
Great vacuum for deep cleaning carpet and all floors. I have this to deep cleaning my carpets and is a must if you have pets. I have purchased four of these for myself and family members.

Heads will fail
We had an az2002 model and wanted to upgrade. Vacuum was/is good. But the roller head has since broken twice in the 4 months of ownership. The first time warranty was good and covered it. But after another Month of use, the same issue where the large roller in the head fails to work. I'm not sure what's happening other than we have 4 dogs and put the vacuum to heavy use. In the 4years of owning the az2002, it's head only failed once. I do not recommend this vacuum since it's head is prone to failure. Furthermore, the auto detect fluctuates while on hardwood floor. It's not consistent.

Bummed out
I have had this vacuum for a year. I hate it. It’s heavy. The cord is so tight it never untangles. There is no suction offer so it eats every rug in my house. I had to buy a second vacuum just to clean my rugs. I’ve had two previous Shark vacuums. They were great. Bummed out over this model.

For years, I had my eye on a Dyson… you know that one product you keep thinking, “one day”? 😅 I actually had a Shark Vertex before and really liked it, but it eventually stopped working. So I finally worked up the courage and decided to invest in the Dyson I had been dreaming about. At first? It was amazing. Seriously—everything felt perfect. Powerful, sleek… I was in love. But then… after about a month, things started to go downhill. 😩 And honestly, that was frustrating—because it’s not exactly a cheap purchase. So I decided to go back to something I already trusted: Shark. And I got the Power Detect. And let me tell you… it completely exceeded ALL my expectations. Like—way better than I thought it would be. Powerful, efficient, easy to use… it’s one of those products that makes you think, “this is what I wanted all along.” I’m genuinely impressed. And I’m already calling it—my next purchase, if God willing, will be a Shark ice cream maker 🍦😂 Because if it’s even close to how good this vacuum is… I’ll be telling everyone about it!

LIABILITY RISK
My parents bought this and noticed the struggles but never did a review on it so here I am, it sucks its the worst vacuum to exist, It blows the fuses AS SOOOOON AS ITS TURNED ON, everytime i clean my room with that vacuum at least a hour is added on everytime with me having to go up and down two flights of stairs and walking to the complete opposite side of my house to keep resetting the fuse, and my mom also has it happen alot aswell. it overheats constantly, its always falling when I use the hose, it also makes the lights in some rooms strobe resulting in me cleaning in the dark because it can cause me to have seizures. fix the product or take it off shelves, its becoming a liability and lawsuits will happen most likely in the future from your products issues, i also tried to attach a video of it blowing the fuse but it wont let me put videos

Nope!!!
I do not care for this vacuum model much when it picks the setting when vacuuming the suction drops real low and doesn’t pick hardly anything up but when I pick the setting for the vacuum, it picks plenty up, but sometimes it’ll switch back by itself. I don’t care for that at all. I think their best model was the shark stratos. This one is Not worth the money!!!

Too hard too handle
I bought this Shark Power Detect in January 2026. I have owned Sharks for many years, but I am not happy with this one. It has tore up multiple pieces of my furniture. When I use the hose with the tools I have to keep my foot on the vacuum to hold it down. I learned this trick the hard way. After using it the first couple of months while using the hose. When it sucks to something by accident. It will pull the vacuum over. Really hard and quick, before you can even react . I wish I had bought another Shark Rotator instead. .
