Awesome
I have purchased many comforters over the years in all ranges of quality and price; Macys, BB&B, specialty stores in Canada and in Seattle. If you can afford this but are concerned about the cost compared to the quality, let me put your mind at ease. This is hands down the highest quality duvet I have ever purchased. The encasing is high quality cotton material and there is absolutely no feather leakage. I purchased the Cornwall in King heavyweight and it is truly that. The degree of "fluff" and loft right out of the bag is phenomenal, there is no shifting of feathers due to the baffling and the way it is sewn - it's warm yet cool enough for summer. I'll never purchase any other duvet from here on. I only use Sferra sheets and decided just to "go for it" and haven't regretted it. There is a small amount of crinkle that you can hear from the feathers and the material - that's the sound of luxury as far as I'm concerned.

Beautifully soft duvet
After much debating, since this is a lot to pay for a duvet, I decided to go with the Cornwall heavyweight comforter since I wanted something with 900+ fill to get more loft and I decided that I could deal with the how warm it would be. After going to the physical store and looking at their Sferra comforter display (San Francisco) I understood some of the negative reviews of the other models (cardigan, etc...) as the loft was not there--though I am sure the display is old and it has been handled many times. After it arrived and I took it out of the packaging, it quickly swelled up within 30 minutes or so and easily made the bed look another 4 inches taller than it was--no disappointment about the loft! After sleeping under it for a couple of nights I will say that it is very light weight for its size, warms up rather quickly, and insulates extremely well. The first night i did remove it as I got too hot, but this also happened to me with my old polyester filled comforter. I think on colder night it will perfect! It is so soft and well made--I appreciate that I can tie it to the duvet cover so no more slipping and sliding in the cover!

Beautiful Duvet
I am very pleased with this Sferra Duvet. Although it is expensive, I got what I paid for. It's light, warm and beautifully constructed. I returned a comforter to Cuddle down that stated Baffle Boxes which it did not have. Manager told me customers don't know what Baffle Boxes are! I decided to go full price and Italian. I got what I paid for with no false advertisement.

Sferra Cornwall down comforter
This is the most luxurious down comforter I have ever seen. It is soft and fluffy and light as a feather, more specifically light as top quality down clusters. I love it!!

Luxurious, warm and well made
This is an expensive indulgent so make no mistake about that. I considered Frette and Matouk as well but settled on Sferra because I wanted 900 fill Canadien goose down. I also purchased a Sferra duvet cover and the comforter fit the cover like a glove. The quality and softness of the shell is superb. I had to special order this because the local Bloomingdales store did not stock this comforter. Another reason why I chose this comforter over the pricier Snowden and Utopia models is the care required. The other models require dry cleaning and the Cornwall is machine washable. Bloomingdale's friends and family discount of 25% also applied to this comforter which helped seal the deal. I would recommend this comforter however there are other more cost effective choices if you are on a budget.
