Ruined by presentation

I purchased these earrings and was disappointed for two reasons: first, there was no tracking number and the package showed in transit for days. I was surprised to find it on my doorstep one night. Secondly, the earrings do not come in a proper jewelry box of either velvet or leather but are slapped into a cardboard box that is much too big. Not in keeping with the price or with fine jewelry. I called the 800 number, which is a call center overseas, and was told that they cannot send a box. I can return them or drive to a store, state the case again, and beg for a box. Exhausting.
