Beautiful painting with a few caveats

This is a framed piece. I originally thought the frame was black from the photos, but when it arrived I realized it is a dark espresso wood. So I ended up placing it in a different area of my home because I couldn’t bear to send it back. It really is a stunning piece with wonderful texture and pigmented coloring. The description says it is hand painted, but I believe it has a base that is an art print and there is hand painting over it to add depth.
