My shorts are much smaller than 9.5 inches and the 31 waist fits like a 29/30

See through material

Material is thin and kinda see through, doesn’t look white and then the contrast with the thickness of the pockets will look odd. Especially if you have olive, tan or dark sun. Fit also runs tighter than you’d think, so go a size up.
