waaaay too long 5ft 5in 140lbs size 10

Oh dear... this drags the ground past my feet by 2 inches. As the title states, I'm 5'5" tall, 140lbs, size 10. The size 10 fit perfectly in the waist and all places but length by a lot! I mean I could go get it altered, but this was a lot. Also, it fit perfectly in the chest and I'm a 38C chest for those that are wondering how it fets elsewhere. I've decided that for over $1k (including the little matching jacket sold separately) I didn't want to have to alter it so much. Otherwise, this is a very well made and elegant gown. The sequense make it a very heavy piece.
