Looks and fits just as shown
Because of the one negative review here and another one on a separate website, even though I loved the pattern, the look of this item, and that, I like the idea of owning this style top, I was dismayed by the two negative reviews, and the fact that I am not really a fan of turtle necks didn't help matters, so needless to say, many times I almost purchased this item and changed my mind, however, the fact that it is "made in the USA," kept nudging me/convinced me, that it can't be that bad, and if it is I would just return it. Fast forward to today, having just received this item, I am pleasantly surprised that the item, is nothing like the complaint, and looks and fits exactly as shown. I bought what would be the right size for me, size M (at times I do purchase S, depending on the fit,) and I am happy with it. The only thing is I am not sure why I thought it was longer fitting around the waist, it is not, it lands around midsection and at the waist, just as shown in the picture.

Too small, not flattering .
Too small. Loved the idea of this on the model. However, I find Mother to have inconsistent sizing, and this was way too small. I ordered a medium which is my normal size and it looked like I put on my daughter's shirt. It would probably be flattering on someone that had zero midsection 'fluff'.
