?manufacturing defect

Not sure if I received a ring with a manufacturing defect? The width of the band around the finger was not consistent (went from thin to thick to thin in the weirdest place) and looked pretty terrible. returned.

Exactly as pictured

This ring is exactly as described. The yellow gold is a nice soft color, not too bright. I had been looking for something thicker than my other dainty bands but not necessarily chunky. This fits right in the middle and has a nice “light” look to it bc of the open braided look.
