Meh

Ok so I decided to try this out after some months of looking at it online and let me say, this coat is very warm. Decent construction and length throughout, though the sleeves can be a little longer. However! This coat is completely unlined, has no inside pocket and has VERY minimal details, which kind of bothers me a lot, especially at this price. The zipper is kind of chintzy. Also it’s tight in the chest and wide in the hips and I got a 4, which is an XL. I’m usually an M in most coats and this is a giant departure from my normal size. Something is up with the sizing with this brand. Finally, it’s made in Romania, which OK, but not an area that is readily associated with luxury or centries old craftsmanship. Overall, I think people are being sold a tall tale with this brand, and really should take a second look before plunking this kind of money. Do not buy this.

Spot on comment/review! I’ve bought the Hermine and had the same sizing issue (small at chest) and the zipper kept splitting from the bottom of the jacket. Similar problem with the Gie. I kept the Gie because I have to admit, they’re stylish and I like the Moncler navy color. Definitely overpriced and paying for the brand name.
