Placemats Could Be Thicker

I bought these pretty placemats because I like all things scalloped. However upon receiving, I found the fabric to be a bit too thin for placemat use. I learned from internet reviews that the matching napkins are made out of the same fabric, which I think would be too thick for napkin use. This could be a matter of personal taste. I returned this product.
